Hello! I’m Nenad a passionate Fitness and Wellness Coach.
Dedicate to helping people starting their Fitness journey and improve their health and well-being.
With over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry, I’ve developed a unique approach that combines physical training, mindful practices, and holistic wellness, to create lasting, positive change.
My Journey
My journey into sports and fitness begins 27 years ago(I was only 13 years old) when I found my first passion: aggressive inline skates, or so called rollerblades. It was an extreme sport that required a lot of cardio and explosive movements, coordination for movements and high jumps, not to mention super strong knees for landing.
I was a rollerblader for 22 years (from 13 to 35) in this beautiful and magic time of my life I was full time working my 9h a day 5-6 days a week and after my work most days and weekend I was spending in perfecting and practicing my sport!
Rollerblades give me freedom of movement, mental clarity, creativity and make me forget the daily obstacles that life can sometimes give.
In order to keep my body strong and ready for this sport I did mainly push ups, dips and sometimes pull ups.. and after trying to sign up in the gym, I fond that timewise that was not sustainable, so I decided to invest some money and created my own home gym, in my basement, with dumbbells, cable machine and some functional equipment.
Started training, testing and studying movements and slowly building up my physique.. all I wanted was to look good.
2 years later and I start working as a product manager and travelling around Italy and Europe.. almost no time for training and no time to use the gym, so I desired to sell all equipment.
For the luck of time and constant travel, my workouts became shorter, more body weight oriented with no equipment and using all I can find in the room.
After 5 amazing years with this incredible company I was grown personally and professionally, and I needed to slow down and take more care of my health.
I made a big decision to move to Thailand, open my own business and live a bit more free lifestyle with less stress, negativity and more healthy lifestyle.
In 2015 I moved to the beautiful island of Koh Phangan, starting my own business and taking care of my health.
After 2 years of building a business in hospitality, I used my free time to go to the outdoor park and train Calisthenics, and for those who don’t know what Calisthenics is:
Calisthenics is a form of exercise that uses a person’s body weight and requires little to no equipment.
At the age of 35 I start developing incredible changes in my body, my posture and my performance.
My body was stronger, double than when I was in my twenties..
I started building healthy habits and have become super disciplined in my training and by being always full of energy, waking up early and always be excited about the new day to come so that I can challenge my body and learn something new.
My Passion about Calisthenics and Bodyweight Training, was growing rapidly & I became obsessed with learning and discovering what my body can do: working on the movement such as Handstand, front Lever, Muscle Up, ecc..
My Passion for Calisthenics
Calisthenics and bodyweight training have been transformative in my personal fitness journey. Unlike traditional weightlifting, calisthenics relies on using your own body weight to build strength, flexibility, and endurance. This natural approach to fitness not only fosters a deep connection with your body, but also emphasizes functional strength that translates into everyday life.
The Beauty of Simplicity
One of the aspects I love most about calisthenics is its simplicity. You don’t need expensive gym equipment or a large space to get an effective workout. Whether you’re at home, in a park, or traveling, you can always rely on your body to provide a comprehensive workout. This accessibility makes it an ideal choice for anyone looking to start their fitness journey without barriers.
Functional and Dynamic
Calisthenics focuses on compound movements that engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously. This means you’re not just building isolated strength; you’re developing functional power, coordination, and balance. Movements like push-ups, pull-ups, and squats are dynamic exercises that improve your overall athleticism and are incredibly rewarding as you see your progress over time.
Connection and Awareness
Through bodyweight training, I’ve learned to listen to my body and understand its capabilities and limitations. This mindful approach to exercise helps prevent injuries and promotes a sustainable fitness routine. Each movement becomes a meditation in motion, fostering a deeper connection between mind and body.
Empowerment and Progression
Calisthenics empowers you to take control of your fitness journey. The progression from basic to advanced exercises is highly motivating and encourages continuous improvement. The satisfaction of mastering a new skill, like a muscle-up or a handstand, is unparalleled and fuels my passion to keep pushing my limits.
Community and Inspiration
The calisthenics community is incredibly supportive and inspiring. Seeing others achieve incredible feats with just their bodyweight is a testament to the human body’s potential. This sense of community and shared passion drives me to promote calisthenics and bodyweight training to others.
From Passion to Profession
My decision to follow this incredible passion has become an obsession in learning and then leading me to helping others.
Passion for Fitness and Calisthenics was so high that in 2020 I studied to become a certified Fitness & Nutrition Coach, so that I can give more to my students and become a more expert trainer.
I have been working since then in the gym, with an average of 5-6 clients a day, and after all these incredible people and they stories, I realize that we all have some small blockages and insecurities: some of us have time, but don’t have money; some of us have money, but don’t have optimal health…
I realize that most of us only try to push hard in their lifes and focussing only on their physical health, so I wanted to learn more about this philosophy in Body, Mind and Soul.
In 2022 I also studied and graduated in meditation and breathwork teacher training course, with a 10 weeks course so that I can expand my knowledge.
This is where the Body Connection was born!!!!
